Maggie is a founder member of the New Zealand Guild of Storytellers and has been guest teller at the Glistening Waters Festival in Masterton, Australian Festival in Sydney and the Auckland Storytelling Festival, as well as in numerous other venues.

She also held workshops at these festivals and was the facilitator in 1996 of the workshops and competitions which led to 6 young tellers, 3 in English and 3 in Te Reo performing at the Glistening Waters Festival and subsequently took two of them to the Sydney occasion.

With a background in Teaching, Drama and Public Speaking she has a passion for oral language and sharing stories with anyone who will listen.

A Celt of Scottish/Irish parentage she brings the wacky, spooky or legends, to life,(as well as personal stories) and particularly enjoys participatory sessions (probably her enjoyment of Theatre Directing fits in here!)

Maggie initiated the monthly Thames Storytelling Cafe four years ago which she fits in, between working for Child Abuse Prevention Services as Counsellor/Education facilitator.

Recently she became a Celebrant and Professional Supervisor --and brings these skills to the workshops she offers on "Creating Your Own Life Story".

In her spare time she is practising growing old disgracefully. CV and details on request.
