Working as Shadow the Storyteller, she writes and tells her own stories as well as myths, legends and tales of wonder, humour and mystery.
A published author (Food Legends from around the  World: Traditional tales with Recipes of Today, illustrated by Bodhi Vincent) she wears a distinctive costume and uses drums. 
Shadow tells at the Wellington Storytellers’ Cafe, Tauhara Retreat Centre, the Home Storytellers Association, for Fundraisers and at local Festivals.
