She has been telling stories to a range of audiences in a variety of settings including schools (primary, secondary and pre-school), festivals, disability centres, rest homes, education conferences, Otago Museum, Dunedin Public Art Gallery, libraries, shopping malls and the odd pub! Some of her achievements include being a featured teller at the 2004 Glistening Waters Storytelling festival, performing original stories for the Guggenheim exhibition, presenting workshops at 1994 Early Childhood Convention, touring West Coast, Marlborough and Central schools for D.O.C. and REAP in 2004, initiating a preschool outreach programme in 2004 in conjunction with the Dunedin Public Libraries (still currently running) and plus many other self-generated projects and tours. She has teamed up with musician Anna Bowen for a pioneer Scottish show at the Early Settlers museum, as well as a pre-school programme promoting healthy nutrition and lifestyle, for the National Heart Foundation. Kaitrin is half of "Tell Tale Sisters", a tandem act with Liz Weir sparkling with energy and laughs. She uses puppets, music, song, imagination and humour to spin a web of wondrous words, guaranteed to capture any audience. |
