I was born in Southland on a mixed dairy and sheep farm with a pen in my hand and gumboots on my feet.
For as long as I can remember, I have written stories about the 'comedy of errors' that have made up my life from childhood to almost-retired; still with pen and gumboots firmly in place.
These days I do a bit of relief milking (but no more than 7 days a week) and tell stories to adults.
I have travelled to the huge storytelling festival in Jonesborough and hope to see someday an appreciation on story telling in New Zealand as they have in America.
