Professional name    Ragnar Raudbrok E-mail    dandcberry@xtra.co.nz Phone:   06 8588631 Experience/ target audience: I am a trained early childhood and secondary teacher who has told to early childhood gatherings, kindergartens, childcares, libraries, whole primary schools, whole intermediates, high school classes, primary classes and adult audiences. I've been telling since 1992 on a voluntary basis and semi- professionally since 1998, I still teach during the terms but can be available through arrangement in term times. My stories: My stories are myths and legends, folk tales and fables, some original some traditional with my own twist to them, some make you jump and some make you laugh, most have some surprises in them. Following the skaldic tradition I have been developing a repertoire of original poetry and verse, I also enjoy singing and creating new songs and people keep telling me I have a beautiful voice. Me: I present myself as the Viking skald storyteller Ragnar Raudbrok and can come with sword, axe, shield and helmet. (The chain mail is still under construction.) To support this I am currently researching a supporting unit on Vikings integrating social studies, maths, science, English and drama.
