This year I have performed Hairy Maclary stories at Te Papa & taken part in Zealandia’s Summer Storytelling programme. In May, I had a wonderful session with students at Crofton Downs School, & in the same week performed Kete of Cooked Kumara, at Arts on Wednesday, Massey University, Palmerston Nth.This is a 45 minute show, weaving together the stories of my Wellington & Wairarapa ancestors. It complements another 45 minute storytelling piece of mine; Ironside, about a missionary in the Marlborough Sounds during the same early colonial period.
